As the son approaches the home, it changes and so does his life. The home is owned by the Devil.

When a group of people want to explore a set of ruins, they engage a native American guide. The group quickly falls into problems as they die one by one. When they turn to the guide for help, they find that the guide is gone, and never really existed. Instead, the guide was a vengeful spirit of the tribe that was displaced and slaughtered by intrusion into the area.

Marot Ramsey, a fledgling detective with the New York Police department notices similarities between the methods of murder and the events surrounding the case of Jack the Ripper between August and November of 1888 in London, England. Ramsey follows what she assumes to be a copy-cat killer, only to confront the immortal Jack the Ripper.
